FAQs

Q: Do I need any specific or fancy technology to participate?

A: Not really! A stable, good-quality internet connection is all that is necessary. If you have an external microphone for your device, that's great but not at all required. We will be sending out some tech tips to help everyone get set up for success!

Q: Where can I read more about the faculty and coaches?

A: Read about our world-class faculty and coaches here!

Q: Do you offer any financial assistance?

A: Yes! We know it’s a tough time for musicians. Get in touch with us and we’ll try our best to accommodate your needs.

Q: Do the same people play every week?

A: Yes! Each participant will perform in all four of the masterclasses. Those with audit passes are welcome to watch the live classes and participate in any Q&A that may take place.

Q: I want to participate but can’t be there live every week. Can I still do it?

A: Yes! If you cannot perform live, simply send a link for an unlisted YouTube video. The video will be screen-shared during the class and reviewed by the guest faculty teaching that week.

Q: How many participants will be in the Viola Lab?

A: Our desire is for every participant to receive individualized attention for each class, therefore we will cap participation at 6 participants. There is also a limited number of audit passes. So register soon!

Q: I don’t really want to play, but I’m interested in hearing some of the workshops…

A: Wonderful! Register here to audit any of our masterclasses, workshops, and wellness classes. Even if you cannot observe the classes live, you will still have access to recordings when available.

Q: What if I can’t be there live?

A: Recordings from ALL sessions will be available on the website! You will have access to them as part of your participant or audit pass. There is no additional charge or fee and the recordings will always be available to you to reference. These will post to the website no later than the end of Viola Lab (July 12)!
